I was amazed to see an expansion not only in tourism, but also in our infrastructure. Here is the article I read.
CAPE PORT EXPANSION ON TRACK Transnet would spend R5.4 billion in the next five years on the expansion of the Cape Town container terminal, the ports and rail parastatal said. Transnet has spent R2.5bn on the project, which will double the terminal’s capacity from the current 700 000 containers a year to 1.4 million containers by next year. The 30-year-old ship-to-shore cranes in this terminal have been replaced with six Liebherr super post-panamax cranes, which have twin lift capability. Two more new cranes will be added.
